The NOFO will support India’s National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) in accelerating and sustaining HIV epidemic control in priority geographies. This aligns with the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) Phase VI goal to end HIV as a public health threat, while protecting American health through global health security measures. You will implement innovative, evidence-based, and person-centered strategies to strengthen targeted prevention, case finding, linkage to care, treatment adherence, and viral suppression for those living with HIV or TB. Your plan should focus on bolstering life-saving services to local ownership in line with U.S. foreign aid policies. You should coordinate with all relevant program stakeholders, including at district, state, national levels, communities, and private sector, to address key program gaps and implement integrated health strategies. Activities include: Reducing HIV testing and treatment gaps. Integrated service delivery for HIV and co-morbidities, including preventing and managing HIV drug resistance and promoting sustainability through efficient, cost-effective approaches. Reinforcing partnerships to complement the national efforts. Strengthening preparedness for emerging epidemics. By advancing innovative HIV service delivery approaches under local government leadership, recipients will establish sustainable frameworks for epidemic control that align with U.S. global health priorities and ensuring a long-term effect.
